Rusty Studio
Rusty Studio is the creation of Petra's husband Russell. While the pair collaborate on all areas of the Petra Boase brand, Russell's distinct style felt like it needed its own hat. With an MA in children's book illustration from Anglia Ruskin Cambridge, Russell's love of vintage annuals and comics inspires his simple use of pen and ink and limited colour. The studio Risograph machine is used to play with tone and offset that is so reminiscent of those vintage annuals.
