12 Easter Styling, Baking & Making Ideas

Spring is in the air and I love the making, baking and foraging in the lead up to Easter, but I’m an impatient maker that likes a fast project with a wow result! So heres a round up of my 12 favourite ideas….

Spring Flower Power Pie

I made this chicken and leak pie using Hot water pastry and it’s a game changer! The best part is decorating the top! we have friends and family for Easter and I’ve just ordered individual pie tins to make everyone their very own Easter pie!

Easter Table Blossom & Balls

It’s a great time of year to head out doors with the secateurs as the early blossom is out and buds are bursting. I love cutting generous branches of blossom and popping them in a sturdy vase. For this display I dug out our paper ball decorations that we use all year round but tied them to the branches with generous lengths of ribbon tied into bows.

Put a Bird on it!

Our feather bird clips always find a place and have hopped on to decorate this Easter cake. I wrapped some tin foil around the base of the twigs before inserting them in the cake. You could insert a tiny jar into the cake and fill with spring flowers too.

Origami Bunnies

We printed our own pattern origami papers for the bunnies on the studio Risograph machines and I love the juxtaposition of all the patterns together. I’m going to use the bunnies for place settings this Easter and write our guests names on them.

Spring Flowers all Wrapped Up

Who doesn’t love receiving a bunch of fresh flowers but even better when the wrapping is just as gorgeous! This was a few bunches of supermarket tulips that I re wrapped in our luxury tissue paper tied with sparkly Ric rac and a tag. A sweet pot of ranunculus or a primrose would also make a lovely gift wrapped up in our tissue paper.

Easter Egg

Elevate a supermarket Easter egg with some stand out luxury tissue paper wrapping. I love adding little wrap trinkets like these Pom poms , mini toadstool and one of our iron on patches!

Bunny Bags & Biscuits

The sweetest bags to pop little gifts or baked treats in. Hop over to the Blog for the full instructions. I can’t tell you how satisfying stamping the bunny faces on is!!

Spotty Egg biscuits

I started playing  around with terrazzo style biscuit baking last year and it’s fun! Here’s how I made these spotty egg shortbread biscuits.

Easter crackers

Not just for Christmas I love an Easter Cracker too! Maybe leave out the hats but fill with wrapped edible gifts and egg related jokes, there are plenty our there! I’ve attached our patches to these, as a finishing touch, they can be removed and used afterwards.

Easter brownies

Embed mini eggs into the brownies before baking. The eggs add a lovely crunch to an otherwise gooey brownie. Wrap in parchment paper once cooled and then with our pattern tissue papers ribbons and a tag- the most delicious Easter gift!

Stitch a Birdy

With spring comes the sound of new birdsong. Here’s a sweet little bird embroidery to add to your denim embroidered using our Magic stitch kit. If you aren’t familiar with our Magic stitch kit you can find out more here, it’s the go to kit for all your hand embroidery fun.
