DIY Christmas Tree Googly Eye Sweatshirt

Charity shops, jumbles and car boots are the perfect places to hunt down a jumper or sweatshirt in need of up cycling. This green sweatshirt was crying out to be turned into cheeky Christmas tree, so after a bit of experimenting drawing pine needles, here’s how I did it.

You will need

Green and brown fabric Pen

Googly eye patches 

Iron or thread or badge pins

1 Draw the fine spine branches using a brown pen. Lightily create the pine needles with gentle markings. Follow the pen instrutions in terms of fixing the ink eg ironing and check the washing instructions!

2 Iron on the googly eye patches or you can turn them into badges by sewing or attaching badge pins with double sided tape.
